As an immigrant from a culture where food is a main event, being diagnosed, misdiagnosed, and re-diagnosed, having to cook everything, carrying food around with me so I do not go hungry when I am out of the house, and maneuvering around relationships and explaining to community as well as family members about my restrictions have been a major challenge. In 2013, I was lucky enough to finally focus on myself holistically and became a certified professional life coach and Yoga Teacher. This holistic approach is what I hope to bring to people around me who have been suffering with the same discomforts. I also support people living with IBS to do what it takes to live a healthy happy life with minimal IBS symptoms and discomfort.
I now hope to help others overcome health and life challenges they face. By working with clients to examine what is going on now and by addressing personal projects and life transitions we will work together to give back power to you.
Using Urban Zen Integrated Therapy I help my clients heal and transform themselves.
I have been suffering from digestion problems since I can remember. Having stomach and intestinal issues, being bloated, and feeling tiered was always my normal. After a hospital stay in 2001 for an unexplained rash, I was lucky enough to receive a recommendation from an ND friend to minimize wheat consumption. Cutting out wheat, I started to feel the difference. I have been living a wheat- and gluten-free life for the past 12 years. As if that was not hard enough, at a time when gluten-free options were still relatively difficult to find on the market, unlike today, my GI handed me information on new research on Fructose Malabsorption and introduced me to even more dietary restriction in 2007.
I finally managed to reduce my food-generated discomfort by following these new dietary restrictions.
